Frequently asked questions

What's the €9/month platform fee?

A flat fee per Brainpod account that covers the control plane, dashboard, build pipeline, observability and email support — the things that aren't tied to a specific instance. It's billed alongside your compute usage on the same monthly invoice.

How is usage billed?

By the second. You only pay for the time your services are actually running, on top of the flat platform fee. Everything is aggregated into a single monthly invoice in EUR.

Is there a free tier?

No permanent free tier — that keeps the platform fast for everyone. Get in touch for a trial credit if you want to evaluate Brainpod for a real workload.

What about bandwidth and storage?

Inbound and outbound network traffic is free at the platform level. Persistent storage is metered separately at cost.

Can I scale up or down?

Yes — change instance tier or replica count any time from the dashboard. We bill the prorated difference automatically.

Where exactly does my data live?

On infrastructure operated by Thalassa Cloud in Ede, Netherlands. We do not replicate or transfer data outside the EU.

Do you offer enterprise contracts?
